Western United States
ADVENTURE READY (Seattle, Washington)
If you’re in the Seattle area be sure to stop by Adventure Ready’s shop. It’s located just east of the ballard bridge. They carry some awesome gear from companies like James Baroud, RedArc, and Partner Steel to name a few. But, if you really want to be blown away check out their electrical installs. You’ll be hard pressed to find a cleaner example… pretty much anywhere.

MULE Expedition Outfitters (Issaquah, Washington)
As you leave Seattle and head toward Snoqualmie Pass on I-90; be sure to stop by Mule Expedition Outfitters in Issaquah. They’re a great group of adventurers and some of the best fabricators in the area. They’ve built some incredible rigs. In fact, you’ve probably seen their Pinzgauer, LMTV, or maybe their old Syncro cruising around Overland Expo or at the Northwest Overland Rally.
Mule Expedition Outfitters carries (and installs) a wide range of top notch gear from companies like AEV, ARB, and Front Runner. They also provide classes from time to time to help you get out of the mall parking lot and into the wilderness (safely).
We’re customers and anticipate doing business with them again in the future. Their staff knows their stuff. They’ll go above and beyond to help you find what you need.

Equipt Expedition Outfitters (Salt Lake City, Utah)
Way back in 2006… when most Americans were completely clueless about overlanding, roof top tents, and dual battery systems… Equipt opened its doors to sell those very products. Before that the founder was out exploring and learning firsthand about vehicle-based adventure travel.
Their expertise and dedication to global travelers allowed them to grow and remain in business through the housing crisis and the great recession. And, unlike the endless supply of adjustable rate mortgages, Equipt is thriving well into the 2010’s.
Equipt offers, like the other retailers in our list, top notch overland travel gear. Want an Eezi-Awn roof top tent? Call Equipt. Need a fridge that will take you across continents and come home ready for your next expedition? They sell National Luna fridges… arguably the best you can buy. And, of course, they offer lighting solutions, awnings, and aluminum storage cases.

Eastern United States
OK Auto, 4WD & Tire (Stewartsville, New Jersey)
OK4WD is the only East Coast retailer we’ve dealt with first hand. They carry tons of great brands. And, if you have a question about Alu-Cab or James Baroud products…. they’re the ones you want to talk to. They’re they US importer of both companies so they really know their stuff on those product lines. But, to be quite honest the team knows their stuff about everything they sell.
You can tour their showroom on Google maps…
